Seven new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the Hunter

The Hunter has recorded another seven local cases of COVID-19, bringing the regions total to 239.

The new cases were recorded in Hillsborough (1), Cooranbong (1), Shoal Bay (2), Thornton (1), Elermore Vale (1) and Booral (1).

Four of the new cases were infectious in the community including in Hillsborough, Shoal Bay and Elermore Vale.

State wide, NSW recorded 1220 additional cases and another eight deaths. 

Anyone who attended the following venues at the specified dates and times is considered a casual contact and must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received. 

  • 7-Eleven, Singleton on Wednesday 1 September between 5:45am - 5:50am
  • The Pit Stop Cafe, Salt Ash on Thursday 26 August between 4:35pm - 4:40pm
  • Woolworths, Raymond Terrace North (Market Place) on Thursday 2 September between 10:05am - 10:30am
  • Woolworths, Medowie on Tuesday 31 August between 2:05pm - 2:45pm
  • Saxby's Bakery, Salt Ash on Wednesday 1 September between 9:13am - 9:25am
  • Morning Market Coffee, Whitebridge on Saturday 28 August between 12:35pm - 12:40pm
