A man is due to front court today (Friday 10 September, 2021) over a series of alleged armed robberies on service stations in the Lake Macquarie area.
Following extensive inquiries, Strike Force detectives swooped on a home at Belmont yesterday afternoon, arresting a 30-year-old man.
It's alleged the man held up the 7-Eleven at Cardiff, the Ultra Services Station at Edgeworth and the Metro outlets at Warners Bay and Redhead in June and July, threatening the attendants with a knife before escaping with cash and cigarettes.
He's also accused of attempting to hold up the 7-Eleven at Glendale.
The man's been refused bail to face Belmont Court today.
