In another record day for Hunter COVID-19 case numbers, the region has recorded 30 new cases today.
Those cases are across the Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Maitland, Cessnock and Port Stephens local government areas, with Lake Macquarie making up over half of the new cases.
By suburb the new cases are from West Wallsend 4, Morisset 3, Barnsley 2, Arcadia Vale 1, Belmont North 1, Booragul 1, Dudley 1, Mount Hutton 1, Rathmines 1, Warners Bay 1, Elermore Vale 1, Lambton 1, Maryville 1, Mayfield 1, New Lambton 1, Shortland 1, Waratah 1, Rutherford 1, East Maitland 3, South Maitland 1, Abermain 1 and Anna Bay 1.
16 of the new cases were infectious in the community, eight were isolating while infectious and six are under investigation.
19 of the cases are linked to known ones, five are unlinked and six are under investigation.
Hunter New England Health says there are currently 506 close contacts in isolation and 15 people being cared for in hospital, including two in ICU.
A number of COVID exposure sites have been listed overnight including at Cameron Park, Glendale, Jesmond, Raymond Terrace, Cessnock, Edgeworth and Mayfield.
Anyone who attended the following venues at the specified dates and times is considered a casual contact and must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
