Police believe a disagreement over a dog may have been the motive for an alleged home invasion at Tarro last night.
Around 10 o'clock, it's alleged two men broke into the property and assaulted a male occupant.
It's believed an earlier dog attack had something to do with the invasion, with no one injured in the ordeal.
A 25-year-old man's been arrested over several offences and will face Maitland Local Court today, while the second intruder is yet to be located.
