Stranger Danger Incident at Cessnock

Police are investigating a child approach incident at Cessnock earlier this week.

Just before 3:30 on Tuesday afternoon, two girls aged 10 and 11 were walking along Furguson Street when a utility pulled up beside them.

The man started talking to the girls, who ran away feeling threatened and reported the incident to their parents.

Police say the man is of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 40s with grey receding hair and a goatee, and was seen wearing rectangular glasses with tinted lenses.

He was driving a dual cab silver ute.
