Convicted Kurri Kurri Puppy Killer Back In Court

A Kurri Kurri man convicted of killing nine puppies is accused of breaching a court order preventing him from having anything to do with animals.

Police allege Nathan Thompson had a dog in a car on two of three occasions when he was stopped for allegedly driving while disqualified in June and August this year.

It's also alleged the 29-year-old had traces of the drug ICE in his system on one occasion and was in possession of cannabis on another.

Thompson was sentenced to 18 months gaol with a 12 month non parole period in 2015 for killing the bull terrier-cross puppies and was banned from associating with any animals for 10.years

He's been charged with failing to comply with a court order under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
