NSW detectives have travelled to Melbourne to speak with the man accused of mutilating a Newcastle woman's genitals.
The self-claimed body modifier has been arrested by Victoria Police after getting off a flight from California at Tullamarine Airport.
The 40-year-old is accused of mutilating the woman's body during a tattoo parlour procedure at Newcastle West in 2016.
Police are applying for his extradition to NSW.
It comes a month after a 37-year-old man from Terrigal was charged with manslaughter for his client who died days after having a plastic snowflake implanted in her hand.
