The Hunter's Westpac Rescue helicopter has been sent out to bush land in Lake Macquarie after a man sustained chest injuries during a motorbike accident.
The 45-year-old was riding at Mandalong when he came off the bike and was thrown onto a tree.
Crews treated him on scene before he was put on a stretcher and winched 150 feet onto the helicopter.
Rescue efforts were hampered by the isolated and inaccessible position the man crashed in.
He's now been flown to the John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
