Singleton Council has announced a complete overhaul of the area's waste collection service, which will involve state-of-the-art trucks, and new red bins.
The rollout is set to commence on Thursday, November 5, and residents will be notified in advance of their new bin arrival.
Singleton Council's Director of Planning, Mark Ihlein, said that residents will receive better value for money under the upgraded service.
"Singleton has an excellent track record when it comes to waste management and recycling, and the introduction of the new contract will build on and enhance our community's commitment to reducing waste," he said.
The 10-year contract has been awarded to JR Richards and Sons, who will now conduct waste collections in the Singleton LGA.
"We're all about improving our service for our residents, and ensuring that we get value for money," Mr Ihlein said.
The new service will also include an annual bulk rubbish collection, as well as a new customer service centre.
Mr Ihlein said waste collection days will remain unchanged.
Residents with questions about the new waste collection service are advised to contact the new customer service centre on 1800 931 985.
