Singleton Council is calling for expressions of interest from local businesses and community groups to utilise a profitable opportunity at Riverside Park before the sites upcoming opening in December.
The kiosk at the site is currently available for short-term use for six months, with the park expected to attract significant crowds during the Christmas and school holiday period.
General Manager of the project Anthony Egan, says community anticipation is growing for the site which will provide a hub for families, and is expected to become a busy and vibrant community space for Singleton residents.
The park will connect the town center with the development of new playgrounds, footpaths, amenities and cafes.
"The space is a great opportunity in connecting our main street, John street, to the river behind," Mr. Egan said.
"We expect it will regenerate and revitalize this particular area. "
The kiosk at the site will eventually be converted into a training kitchen focused on providing a pathway for youth and indigenous people pursuing a career in the hospitality industry, and indigenous food.
