The Ruttley's Road Fire is still strongly raging with 170 firefighters battling the blaze supported by aircraft.
More than 1500 hectares of scrub and bush land have burnt so far.
Residents have been warned they will see increased fire and smoke as Firefighters conduct backburning operations where possible.
The fire is significantly affecting the Pacific Highway which is closed between Swansea and Elizabeth road.
The Rural Fire Service is urging residents to only call triple zero in the case of an emergency or an unattended fire.
