Miner's Camp

Plans for a 1300 room miners camp near Singleton have been rejected.

The Joint Regional Planning Panel has found it's not in the public's interest and is unsuitable for the rural setting.

Around 200 people packed the Singleton Civic Centre for last night's decision.

The panel heard from 15 speakers against the development, who gave passionate speeches about how the camp would affect their lives and the future of the town.
