Singleton CBD Improvement Wait

Singleton Council has announced the 9 million dollars of state funding they received as part of the state government's Resources for Regions fund may not be spent for several months.

The money has been earmarked to be used in the revitalisation of the CBD, as well as a variety of other projects such as altering parking and other measures designed to improve traffic flow.

However, the funds may not be put into action until a management plan is completed, which could take up until April or May next year.

Mayor John Martin says the process may take some time but the finalised management plan will thoroughly highlight what schemes the money will be spent on as well as the costs of individual projects.
