The Hunter has recorded another 65 new local COVID-19 cases, bringing the regions total to 1259 since August 5.
Concerningly, a third of Tuesday's cases were recorded in Lake Macquarie, which has consistently made up a bulk of daily case numbers. The other local government areas which had cases include Maitland, Newcastle, Cessnock, Port Stephens, Singleton, Muswellbrook, Mid-Coast, Gunnedah and Liverpool Plains.
34 of the Hunter's new cases were infectious in the community, 37 are linked to existing cases and 25 are being cared for in hospital, including three in ICU.

STATWIDE
NSW statewide case numbers are continuing to fall, recording a drop in numbers every day since September 30. On Tuesday the state recorded 608 new local cases and seven deaths.
The vaccination rates are currently at 88.5 per cent single dose and 67.5 per cent double dose.
EXPOSURE SITES
A number of COVID exposure sites have been listed overnight including at Nulkaba and Abermain.
Anyone who attended the following venues at the specified dates and times is considered a casual contact and must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
