The Hunter has recorded another 82 cases of COVID-19, bringing the regions total to 1135 since August 5.
The cases are spread across the Lake Macquarie, Cessnock, Maitland, Newcastle, Port Stephens, Muswellbrook, Singleton, Dungog, Tamworth and Gunnedah local government areas.
NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant has given Newcastle and Maitland a shoutout as areas of particular concern for health authorities.
34 of the new local cases were infectious in the community, 57 are linked to existing cases and 22 are being cared for in hospital, including two in ICU.

NSW has experienced a substantial drop in case numbers with 667 recorded in today's numbers. Sadly, a further ten people have lost their lives with the virus.
EXPOSURE SITES
A number of COVID exposure sites have been listed overnight including at Broadmeadow, Singleton and Waratah.
Anyone who attended the following venues at the specified dates and times is considered a casual contact and must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
