69 new local COVID-19 cases in the Hunter

The Hunter has recorded another 69 local COVID-19 cases, bringing the regions total to 988 since August 5.

No local government area was spared in today's numbers, with each recording at least one case.

37 of the new cases were infectious in the community, 36 are linked to existing cases and 16 are being cared for in hospital, including two in intensive care.

LAKE MACQUARIE - 23

STATWIDE

NSW recorded a total of 864 new cases and 15 deaths.

The states vaccination rates currently stand at 87.2 per cent first dose and 64 per cent full vaccinated. Over 10 million vaccinations have been administered in NSW since February.


EXPOSURE SITES

A number of COVID exposure sites have been listed overnight including at Singleton, East Maitland, Gloucester and Charlestown.

Anyone who attended the following venues at the specified dates and times is being asked to monitor for symptoms and get tested if symptoms appear.

  • Singleton Discount Drug Store on Friday 24 September between 5:10pm - 5:20pm
  • Singleton Toyota
    • Friday 24 September between 8am - 5pm
    • Monday 27 September between 8am - 1:30pm
    • Tuesday 28 September between 8am - 2pm

Anyone who attended the following venues at the specified dates and times is considered a casual contact and must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.

  • Laverty Pathology, East Maitland on Saturday 25 September between 10:30am - 11:30am
  • IGA Liquor, Gloucester on Thursday 23 September between 5pm - 5:15pm
