A freak accident has forced the closure of the McDonalds restaurant at Raymond Terrace overnight.
Police say a 72-year-old woman driving a Honda Jazz collided with a Silver Hyundai being driven by a 20-year-old man on William Bailey Street at about 6.00pm on Sunday.
One of the cars crashed through an outside wall of the drive-through, narrowly missing the restaurant itself.
No-one was injured, however the restaurant was closed while the mess was cleaned up - it's since re-opened this morning.
Police say no charges have been laid as a result of the crash.
