Strike Force To Investigate Death Of Newcastle Woman Cecilia Devine

Police have set up a strike force to investigate the death of Newcastle woman, Cecilia Devine who disappeared late last year.

The 42-year-old was reported missing from Waratah on September 5, 2018 - staff at a Katoomba water treatment facility located human remains in the nearby Upper Cascade Creek Dam which forensic testing confirmed were those of Ms Devine.

Detectives from Blue Mountains Police Area Command and the Homicide Squad have formed Strike Force Eking to investigate her death.

Police have released CCTV footage of Ms Devine walking from a Katoomba hotel on September 6 wearing a yellow cardigan, black pants and carrying an orange handbag.

Police and Ms Devine's brothers will address the media later this morning.


Cecilia Devine was reported missing in September 2018
