Hospital Overcrowding Continues

The Heath Services Union says ambulances waiting in long queues at the John Hunter Hospital can be blamed for the deaths of 4 people in less than a month.

It's reported in one case, a 42-year-old Cessnock man died from a heart attack because an ambulance had been sent from Cardiff, nearly an hour away, when paramedics from the local station could've been on the scene within minutes.

Instead, the local ambulances were tied up waiting to offload patients at the John Hunter.
