Glimmer Of Hope For Cash-Strapped Club

Playing activities at the historic Waratahs Rugby Club won't be affected despite the licensed club closing it's doors.

The directors have placed the Station Street business into administration after a last ditch offer to buy the club fell though last week.

The club is believed to have debts of almost a million dollars, with a creditors meeting set down for next Thursday.

Administrators Jirsch Sutherland say a number of people have expressed interest in the club and the site, sparking hopes it could reopen under new management.
