A man who failed to return home last night after a fishing trip on the Central Coast appears to be the latest in a number of rock fishers washed into the ocean and drowned in recent weeks.
The man's family raised the alarm last night and his abandoned car was found at Wybung Head.
A body found on Hargraves Beach this morning is believed to be that of the missing man.
This latest incident occurred close to Ghosties beach, where three young people from Lake Macquarie are believed to have drowned while fishing last month.
The bodies of Niranda Blair and Ben Winn have been recovered, but Trey Adamson has not been located.
