Girl Escapes Attempted Abduction

Police have issued a description of two people who approached a teenage girl at West Wallsend.

The 15-year-old was walking down Withers Street around 7 last night when a white Toyota Camry pulled up next to her.

A man got out and made a comment to the girl, but she kept walking.

She then noticed a female getting out of the front passenger seat.

The man told the girl to get into the car and attempted to grab her, but she managed to escape and ran to a friends house.

The man's described as being about 30, of Caucasian appearance with dark hair and possibly a small goatee beard and was wearing a bright green jumper and blue jeans.

The female passenger is about 30, of Aboriginal appearance with dark hair. She was wearing a blue jumper, white singlet and dark jeans.
