Deputy Prime Minister To Inspect Important Hunter Road Projects

 BY IAN CROUCH

Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack will be in the Hunter today (Tuesday 24 November 2020) to inspect progress on two important road projects.

He'll join NSW Minister for Regional Roads and Transport, Paul Toole this morning for an update on the raising of Cessnock Road at Testers Hollow to flood-proof the vital thoroughfare.

However, Labor MP for Paterson Meryl Swanson says while she's pleased to see Mr McCormack is coming to inspect Testers Hollow, she's disappointed not to be invited to join him.

Mr McCormack and Mr Toole will then join Upper Hunter MP, Michael Johnsen later on Tuesday morning for a doorstop visit to Singleton to discuss progress on the new Singleton Bypass.

The Deputy Prime Minister will also join Senator Perin Davey for a meeting with Muswellbrook Council on Tuesday afternoon.
