An off-duty Sydney police officer is due to face court next month over a head-on smash at Wyee.
The crash, involving a Jeep and a Hyundai Santa Fe happened on Wyee Road at about 9.30am on Saturday July 18.
The Jeep driver, a 37-year-old man, was trapped for an hour before being released.
The Hyundai driver, a 48-year-old woman, suffered serious leg and internal injuries while her passenger, a 13-year-old boy, suffered a broken wrist.
Following a police investigation, the 37-year-old man, who's a Senior Constable has now been charged with several offences including aggravated dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, speeding and negligent driving.
He's due to face Toronto Local Court on October 6.
