One person has been taken to hospital after a house fire at Kotara.
Four fire trucks from Lambton and Charlestown were called to a home on Park Avenue just before 10.30pm on Wednesday to find the front bedroom on fire.
Crews managed to contain the fire to the one room and had it under control within 15 minutes.
A female occupant was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.
The other residents weren't injured.
Police say its likely a cigarette caused the fire.
