On Thursday morning, Hamilton's, Greenroof Hotel confirmed a positive Covid 19 case attended the venue on Friday July 31st.
Health officials advised the hotel the case attended the venue between 10pm and midnight, as well as the Bennett Hotel in Hamilton on the same night between, between 5.30pm and 10pm.
The Greenroof will remain closed until Friday 7th of August, undergoing a professional deep clean.
"All of our staff who were on during this time are now in self-isolation and being tested this morning," the hotel said in a statement.
"If you were at The Greenroof during these times you will receive a call from Hunter New England Health today about getting tested and isolating."
