The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has flown a young woman to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition, following a two car accident at Bellbird near Cessnock.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene just before midday on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old woman sustained multiple injures in the incident.
There were three other patients who were taken to hospital by
road ambulance.
