Emergency services have been called to the scene of a serious single vehicle crash in the Hunter Valley on Friday morning.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter and ambulance crews arrived at the scene at Polkobin just after 6.30am.
A car reportedly veered off the
road crashing into a fence and a ditch, trapping a 51-year-old male driver, who suffered multiple traumatic injuries.
Local Ambulance Paramedics and Emergency Services commenced treatment, after working extensively to cut the driver from the vehicle.
He was flown to John Hunter Hospital in a
critical condition.
