A car has been destroyed in an early morning shed fire at Hamilton South.
Firefighters from Merewether and Newcastle were called to a home on Glebe Road just before 2.30am on Wednesday to find the detached weatherboard shed at the rear of the property well alight.
It took them about 90 minutes to fully extinguish and mop up the fire.
An SUV parked inside the shed was destroyed.
No-one was injured and police are investigating the cause of the fire.
