Police have released more information in the search for Michael McGarity, who has been missing from Maitland since last week.
Police have shared a new photo of Michael and say he is known to frequent the Newcastle and North Rothbury areas.
The 61-year-old left Maitland Hospital around 1:30am on Monday, June 24th and was last seen heading towards Telarah.
Port Stephens-Hunter Police conducted an extensive land search of the Maitland and Telarah areas this morning with help from the NSW Police Dog Unit, Police Rescue, PolAir and police trail bikes.
Michael is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 190 centimetres tall with a thin build, black hair and brown eyes - he also has the letters T Y tattooed on his lower left arm.
He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, white T-shirt, grey jeans and navy-blue shoes.
Anyone with information on Michael’s whereabouts is urged to contact their local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
