A Wallsend man is due to front court today accused of going on a joy ride through Newcastle and Lake Macquarie in a stolen Porsche 4-wheel-drive.
Police allege the 24-year-old stole the Black Porsche Macan from New Lambton Heights on Wednesday - motorists reported seeing the vehicle being driven dangerously on a number of occasions.
The man was arrested at Cardiff after crashing the car into a fence and a carport in Clinton Close during a pursuit.
He's been charged with 12 offences and has been refused bail to face Toronto Local Court today.
