Newcastle detectives have charged a fifth person as part of an ongoing investigation into heroin supply in the region.
Just before 9:30 yesterday morning, Strike Force Toocooya detectives arrested a man from Eagle Vale in Sydney's South-west.
The 40-year-old has been charged with multiple drug supply offences and granted conditional bail to face court on August 21.
Four others have been arrested since the strike force was launched in February.
They remain before the courts charged with over 400 offences.
