The proprietor of a Lake Macquarie Caravan Park is recovering in hospital after almost gassing himself.
Emergency services were called to the Swansea Gardens Lakeside Holiday Park just after 8.30 yesterday morning to find the 55-year-old man struggling to breathe.
It's understood he was mixing chlorine and hydrochloric acid to put in the pool of the caravan park while in a confined space.
He was quickly overcome by the fumes - he was treated by ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
