Firefighters have been kept busy with a couple of house fires overnight in the Hunter.
The occupant of a house on Mount Street, Aberdeen managed to escape unharmed when fire engulfed the home just after 5.00am on Tuesday - crews from Aberdeen and Muswellbrook are still at the scene. The cause of the fire not know at this stage.
Meanwhile, the owners of a Coal Point home are counting the cost after an electrical fault in a pool filter sparked a fire in the garage.
5 fire trucks were called to the home on Coal Point Road just after 11.30pm on Monday.
A Suzuki four wheel drive was destroyed in the blaze, while a caravan also suffered fire damage.
