Police say a man is very lucky to have escaped injury after shots were fired into his car at Mayfield West.
The 25-year-old had just pulled into the driveway of his father's home in Gregson Avenue just after 8.30pm on Tuesday when two shots were fired into the driver's door and the rear door of his Hyundai four-wheel-drive.
Inspector Michael Gorman says it's believed the shooting is a targeted attack.
"A 25-year-old male, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time, thankfully was not injured. Police established a crime scene. Detectives and forensic police attended and examined the motor vehicle and surrounding area and inquiries are continuing," he said.
