A civilian police employee from the Hunter's been charged following an investigation into alleged misconduct.
The Professional Standards Command was called in to investigate claims the man had fraudulently obtained a document.
The 33-year-old has been charged with publishing false misleading material to obtain an advantage.
The man - attached to a command in the Northern Region - is due to face Newcastle Local Court on August 28.
