Police have arrested and charged a 5th person in relation to an alleged shooting incident at Gateshead last month.
A 41-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his leg in the incident on Flame Street in the early hours of May 18.
Three men aged 38, 23 and 21 along with a 45-year-old woman have been charged and remain before the courts.
A 23-year-old man was arrested yesterday and a firearm was was allegedly found at a home on Paper Street.
He's been refused bail to face Newcastle Local Court on August 17.
