Firefighters has been called to reports of a bush fire at Eraring.
Newcastle Fire Command says they received more than a dozen calls to an area of bush alight off Wangi Road at Muddy Lake at about 7.45am on Friday.
Several RFS and Fire and Rescue crews are now on scene and working to control the blaze.
No properties are under threat but motorists are being advised of smoke in the area.
