Two-month-old baby at John Hunter died of COVID, coroner confirms

The coroner has confirmed, the death of a two-month-old baby at the John Hunter Hospital in December, was due to COVID-19.

NSW Health says the child had no underlying health conditions, and had the Omicron variant.

The death was first reported in January, but it was referred to the coroner to investigate if the virus was the cause.
