Fire crews have been called to a shop fire at Singleton.
Police say a wheelie bin was set alight at a hairdressing salon in Burns Lane just before 4.30am on Thursday.
The salon has sustained fire and smoke damage with firefighters taking about an hour to extinguish the flames and ventilate the shop as well as cool the external walls of the building.
A crime scene has been established as investigations into the fire continue.
