There's been a fatal crash on the New England Highway, north of Ravensworth overnight.
About 8:20pm, a ute lost control, skidded off the road, and struck a tree.
A 23-year-old Cardiff South woman was killed in the accident.
A 42-year-old male passenger was taken to the John Hunter with minor injuries.
