UPDATE: Woman flown to Royal North Shore after Greta incident

A woman has suffered serious burns after cleaning products she was using exploded at Greta.

The 51-year-old was cleaning a car with solvents in Nelson Street yesterday afternoon when they ignited.

She suffered serious burns to her chest, upper body and hands and was flown to Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital for specialist treatment.

EARLIER:

There's been an incident on the New England Highway at Greta, heading north, on Thursday afternoon.

It's not a crash, but it's understood a woman is injured.

She's being transported to the Royal North Shore Hospital by the Westpac Helicopter.
