Teen accused of knifepoint robbery - Maitland

A 14-year-old boy is being accused of robbing another teen at knifepoint in Woodberry yesterday.

Police say around 5:30pm, two 14-year-olds were at a skate park on Lawson Avenue when one boy produced a knife, pushing the victim off his bicycle and riding off with it.

It's understood the victim was not physically harmed.

Around 9:30 last night, officers arrested the alleged young offender at his home in Thornton.

He's been charged with robbery with an offensive weapon and is facing the Children's Court today.
