The male body modifier who stands accused of mutilating a woman's genitals at a Newcastle West business in 2016 has appeared in Gosford Local Court today.
Court documents allege 37-year-old Brendan Russell from Terrigal, who is not a licenced medical practitioner, used a branding iron to burn off the woman's labia majora.
It's understood the 33-year-old woman engaged Mr Russell to conduct a body modification procedure on her, but the service delivered was not what she asked for.
She reported the ordeal to police earlier this month.
Senior Constable Alan McBride appeared in court today, saying the mutilation is "of a serious nature and has caused permanent injury to the victim."
Magistrate Bruce Williams adjourned the case until July 20, extending Brendan Russell's conditional bail.
He's not allowed to contact the victim or prosecution witnesses, or carry out body modification procedures.
Police have surrendered his passport, while he'll report to Gosford Police Station daily.
Brendan Russell's social media name "Bslice DotCom" has been revealed, showing images of split tongues and implants under the skin and linked YouTube videos of nipple piercings and belly button removals.
