More than 1000 people have turned out to Ray Watt Oval in support of the Newcastle Jets at today's open training session, ahead of the A-League grand final this Saturday.
With football fever gripping the Hunter, fans hope the team will take out the championship on home turf.
Former Jets legend and 2NUR-FM A- League Commentator, Andy Roberts attended, sporting his iconic gold suit, saying he still feels the same excitement as he did during his playing days.

"I'll be probably losing my voice Saturday night, but like everyone else, I just want to get them across the line and get this premiership," he said.
Jets supporter from Lambton, Jamie Thompson, dressed up in the spirit of the team and the fans around him.
"It's been 10 years since we've won a grand final and we might not win another for 10 years, it's a rare opportunity," Mr Thompson said.
Andy Roberts hopes the team won't get caught up in the hype of the game on the weekend.
"You've got to play the game, not the occasion, because you can get caught up in the hype of it, it's just another game and that's how they'll be treating it," he finished.
