BREAKING! Offender On The Run After Robbing Fast Food Restaurant At Broadmeadow

Police are investigating an early morning robbery on a fast food restaurant at Broadmeadow.

Police say a person walked into the restaurant on Lambton Road just after 4.30am on Tuesday and approached a cashier.

It's alleged the offender grabbed cash from the till before running off.

It's understood no-one was injured during the incident.

Young Woman Assaulted And Car Stolen At Windale

Lake Macquarie police are on the hunt for two men who've assaulted a young woman at Windale before taking her grandmother's car.

Police say the pair entered a Myall Street residence home at about 9.20pm on Monday and assaulted a 21-year-old woman who was visiting the home.

Her grandmother was waiting outside the house.

The pair then left the house, taking off in the 62-year-old's Mitsubishi Lancer which was found dumped in a nearby street.

The alleged offenders are in their early 20's of Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander appearance with a thin build.

Police say neither the young woman or her grandmother were seriously injured during the incident.

Police are appealing for information over a robbery in Wallsend.

Police have released CCTV footage as investigations into an armed robbery at Wallsend in 2022 continue.

Around 5:20pm on Friday 21 January 2022 a man entered a tobacconist on Cowper Street.

He threatened the store attendant with a knife before fleeing with cash.

He was last seen heading towards the Ironbark Creek Bridge near Dan Rees Street.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 25-35, of medium-athletic build, and about 180cm tall.

At the time of the robbery he was wearing a face mask, dark cap, dark shirt and shorts.

Police also wish to speak with the driver of a white Nissan Navara utility with a trailer seen in the area around the time of the incident.

BREAKING! Police Investigate Brazen Robbery On Charlestown Massage Therapist

Lake Macquarie police are searching for two men wanted over a brazen robbery from a remedial massage therapist at Charlestown.

Police say one of the men entered the front door of the Liyun Chinese Massage business in Smith Street just after 6.00pm on Tuesday.

At the same time, a second man entered the rear door of the premises.

Police say the pair confronted staff before making off with cash and three mobile phones.

Police Investigate Robbery At Tighes Hill Service Station

Newcastle police are searching for a man who robbed a service station at Tighes Hill overnight.

Police say the man entered the BP outlet on Elizabeth Street at about 9.30pm on Thursday and allegedly demanded money with menaces from the female attendant.

He was given a sum of cash before leaving and the worker was not injured.

Investigators have released a description of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being aged in his mid 40s, with a dark complexion, and a medium build, wearing a red T-shirt, black shorts and a black face mask.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage and are urging anyone with information to contact Newcastle Police Station or Crime Stoppers.

BREAKING! Night Manager Bashed And Robbed At Raymond Terrace Pub

Port Stephens Police are searching for two men following an attempted stealing and assault at the Lakeside Tavern in Raymond Terrace.

Police say two attempted to steal a case of alcohol from behind the bar just on closing time at 11.30pm on Tuesday.

When confronted by the night manager, it's alleged one of the pair punched the 38-year-old man several times in the face before they ran off.

The worker was treated by paramedics at the scene.

A short time later, he discovered his keys had been taken and his car stolen from the parking lot.

One of the offenders is described as being between 18 and 30 years old, about 6' tall with a slender build and was wearing a high viz jumper with a hood.

The other man had a piece of red cloth covering his mouth and nose.

Anyone who saw the pair acting suspiciously outside the pub on Benjamin Lee Drive just before 11.30 on Tuesday night is urged to call Raymond Terrace Police.

Three Teenagers Charged Over Alleged Armed Robbery and Pursuit From Blandford to Newcastle

Three teenagers have been arrested following an alleged armed robbery and pursuit across the Hunter Valley overnight.

At about 1:00am, police were called to the New England Highway at Blandford, and were told a 73-year-old man had stopped his vehicle to assist three unknown people who flagged him down.

As the man exited his car, the trio allegedly took his keys and threatened him with a knife, before fleeing in his white Ford Ranger utility.

A short time later, police were conducting patrols of the Singleton area when they attempted to stop the vehicle on the New England Highway.

When it failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated, continuing on towards Newcastle.

The pursuit came to an end in North Lambton following the successful deployment of tyre spikes.

Three boys, aged 16 and 17, and one 16-year-old girl were arrested at the scene before being taken to Newcastle Police Station, where they were charged with multiple robbery offences.

They were all refused bail to appear before a Children's Court today (Wednesday the 27th of September, 2023).

BREAKING! Police Investigate Woolworths Jesmond Robbery

Police are checking CCTV footage in a bid to identify a man who robbed the Woolworths Supermarket at Jesmond Central on Sunday night.

Police say the man, who was not armed, approached the front counter of the store on Blue Gum Road at about 8.15pm and demanded cash from a female employee.

He was given an amount of money before running off.

He's described as being Caucasian, in his 30's or 40's, about 180cm tall, with a skinny build and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, a red cap, and carrying a blue backpack.

Police are examining links to an unsuccessful robbery attempt on the bottle shop at the Hotel Elermore the previous day and a successful robbery attempt on a take away shop in Elermore Vale.

Police On The Lookout For A Man In Relation To Alleged Armed Robbery At Mayfield

Police have released vision of a man they believe could help them with an investigation into a robbery at Mayfield last month. 

At about 4:45pm on Thursday the 18th of May, a man allegedly entered a business on Maitland Road at Mayfield, where he threatened a female employee with a firearm and a machete, before fleeing with cash and jewellry. 

The female employee was not physically injured. 

As inquiries continue, Newcastle police officers have released images of a man who may be able to assist with the investigation.

The man is described as being 180cm tall, and of a solid build.

He is shown wearing blue overalls, a fluoro yellow vest, a black full face road bike helmet, and black and yellow gloves.

BREAKING! Soldiers Point Bowling Club Robbed: Police Hunt For Alleged Culprit

Police are investigating a robbery at the Soldiers Point Bowling Club overnight.

A man wearing dark clothing and a balaclava entered the club on Soldiers Point Road at about 7.20pm on Tuesday and threatened a female bar attendant with a box cutter while demanding cash.

He made off with a sum of cash and was last seen heading west along Soldiers Point Road on a bicycle.

Police say several patrons and staff witnessed the incident and no-one was injured.

Police Investigate Alleged Charlestown Robbery

Lake Macquarie Police have commenced an investigation into a robbery in Charlestown overnight. 

It's alleged a 31-year-old man was walking to his parked vehicle on Carl Close at about 10:30pm, when he was approached by two unknown males.

There was an altercation, and the pair allegedly stole cash and a car key before fleeing the scene. 

The victim sustained a wound to his knee and was taken to John Hunter Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Teenager Charged Over Alleged Break-In at Thornton

A teenage boy has been charged after a home in Thornton was allegedly broken into yesterday.

Police were called to a property at Edwards Avenue about 2:30am yesterday morning, after reports of a break and enter.

They were told residents had noticed a door left ajar and several items missing, including a set of car keys and personal devices. 

They were also told, a vehicle was found 15 metres down the driveway, wedged against a large hedge.

Following inquiries, police attended a property on Parkway Drive in Thornton, where they arrested a 17-year-old boy.

He was refused bail and will appear before a children's court on Friday

CCTV Footage Released Of Wanted Jewellery Store Thief

Police are stepping up their investigations into a jewellery store robbery at East Maitland, releasing CCTV footage of a person of interest.

Officers were called to Greenhills Shopping Centre just before 9.30am on July 6.

They were told a man approached a jewellery store and used a hammer to smash a glass display cabinet before running off with 3 items valued at more than $100,000.

The man's described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 167cm tall and was wearing black clothing including black balaclava and white coloured Nike shoes.

BREAKING! Brazen Thieves Steal From Singleton House While Residents At Home

Hunter Valley Police are searching for two people who broke into a Singleton residence overnight while the occupants were at home.

Police say the pair managed to gain access to the Dangar Road property through an unlocked door just before 10.00pm on Thursday and fled with a number of items of property.

The male and female residents were not threatened or injured, telling police the thieves, who were dressed in dark clothing, were in and out of the home very quickly.

It's prompted a warning from police for residents to keep doors and windows locked, especially at night.

Boys Arrested Over Alleged Robbery At Wallsend

Three boys are in custody accused a robbing a juvenile at Wallsend overnight.

Police say the trio approached the boy in  Kokera Street at about 10.30pm on Tuesday and demanded his mobile phone.

The boy complied and the trio fled.

All three were arrested about two hours later at a home in Maryland.

They were taken to Newcastle Police Station and are expected to face the Children's Court at a later date charged with robbery.

It's believed the alleged victim and the offenders are known to each other.

Police Looking for Man Who Robbed and Pushed 61-year-old Woman to Ground in Lake Macquarie

Police are appealing for public assistance to find a man responsible for robbing and pushing a woman to the ground in Lake
Macquarie

The 61-year-old woman was approached by the man as she was returning to home on Plane Street, Gateshead, at around 3am on Thursday July 9 2020. 

The man demanded the woman’s handbag before he pushed her to the ground, grabbed the bag and fled the scene in a northerly direction to a waiting vehicle.

The woman sustained a minor injury.

As inquiries continue, detectives have released CCTV footage of a man and a woman who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, wearing a white cap, dark coloured jumper and dark coloured pants.

The woman is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with blonde hair, wearing a grey hooded jumper and blue tracksuit pants.

The pair were seen leaving in a silver Nissan Navara utility displaying red P-plates, with a bull bar and aerials.

Man Robbed And Car Stolen At Elermore Vale

Police are looking for two men who robbed a man and sole his car at Elermore Vale.

Police say the 20-year-old was approached by the pair in the car park of the Hotel Elermore on Croudace Road at about 4.00pm on Sunday.

It's believed they were armed with knives and demanded he hand over his wallet, mobile phone and car keys.

The pair then escaped in the man's 2003 blue Subaru Liberty.

One is described as being Caucasian, about 25 to 30-years old with a thin build and short red hair and wearing a black jumper and black track pants.

The other is of Middle Eastern appearance, about 27 to 30 years old, possibly with a beard and was wearing grey shorts and a black t-shirt.

Police Searching for Man Who Impersonated Police Officer During Maitland Robbery

Police are appealing for assistance to find a man who impersonated a police officer during a robbery in Woodberry, Maitland earlier this month.

About 10.45pm on Friday 8th May, a 20-year-old male delivery driver attended Oakfield Road, Woodberry, to meet up with a pre-arranged online customer.

As the delivery driver arrived, another car pulled up behind his vehicle, before a man approached his car window claiming to be a police officer.

The man reached into the vehicle, attempting to remove the keys from the ignition, before assaulting the 20-year-old driver.

He then stole a package from the back seat and ran back to the other vehicle before it drove off at speed.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 30s, with a tattoo on the front of his neck, wearing a grey hooded jumper and dark trackpants.

Detectives are urging anyone who may live in the nearby area with CCTV or dashcam footage between 10pm and 11.30pm on Friday 8 May 2020, or who may have seen or heard anything suspicious to contact Maitland Police Station on 4934 0200 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Staff Threatened with Knife at Aberdare Service Station

Police are investigating an armed robbery of a service station at Aberdare on Wednesday morning, where a man threatened an attendant with a knife.

Just before 6am the man entered the service station on Aberdare Road, threatening a 31-year-old staff member, before taking cash and cigarettes and fleeing onto a dirt bike where a second man was waiting.

The bike was last seen riding along Aberdare Road.

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything to come forward.

Both men were last seen wearing motorbike helmets, with dark clothing and their faces covered.

Man Punched In Face During Street Robbery At Muswellbrook

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted and robbed at Muswellbrook.

The 23-year-old was on his way to deposit money at an ATM on Bridge Street just after 9.00pm on Wednesday when he was confronted by 3 men in Market Lane who punched him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.

The trio took his wallet and mobile phone before running off.

The victim wasn't seriously injured and attended Muswellbrook Police Station to report the incident.
