Over 347,000 motorists in and around the Hunter will be able to access refunds on their CTP Green Slip from today.
Refund amounts are set to differ between each motorist, depending on the timeframe that they renewed their slips.
Those who lodged their slips closer to the 1st of December last year will see a higher repayment from their premium.
The average amount motorists will be paid back centres around $39 per person, equating to over $2.1 million overall.
The refunds will be processed through the public's MyServiceNSW account and paid back in the bank account of their choosing.
The Green Slip Return Scheme is just one of the branches of measures the NSW Government are taking to improve and ease the cost of living pressures and motor use.
Motorists are being urged by Parlimentary Secretary, Scot MacDonald, to apply for their refunds as soon as possible; "you have to be mindful that refunds will only be available up until the 30th of September", he says.
"I can't estimate how much cash-back people will get, but it will depend on the car, the cost of the Green Slip and it depends on when you renewed".
