Police are investigating a shooting incident overnight in Lake Macquarie.
In a statement, police say a 26-year-old man presented himself to Belmont Hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm at about 6.15pm on Wednesday.
He was treated before being transferred to the John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
