Fire crews have been called back to the former Maitland Park Bowling Club to a re-ignition of a fire which tore through the historic building early Sunday morning.
Crews from Maitland, East Maitland and an aerial unit from Mayfield West were called to the Elgin Street building at about 4.45am on Monday.
More than 30 firefighters took more than 3 hours to extinguish Sunday's fire which is being treated as suspicious.
The building had been used as a bowling club for 120 years before it closed down in 2022.
Council had only just put out a call for expressions of interest to reuse the building last month.
