Boy Hit By Mini Bus At Gosford

The Hunter's Westpac Rescue Helicopter has flown a 12-year-old boy to hospital after he was hit by a mini bus at Gosford.

Police say the boy was riding his bike at the intersection on the Central Coast Highway and Riou Street at about 4.20pm on Thursday when he was struck by a 12-seater Toyota Coaster bus.

The boy suffered head injures and was airlifted to Westmead Children's Hospital in a stable condition.

A 59-year-old man who was driving the bus was taken to Gosford Hospital for mandatory testing.
